CEDAR CITY, UTAH (JUNE 30, 2018) – An unscheduled hospital trip came about for one Cedar City driver on Saturday, June 30.
Reportedly, two vehicles entered the intersection of 200 North and Main Street in Cedar City that Saturday morning, a White Ford Taurus and a White Plymouth Voyager van. The driver of the white Taurus must have taken offense that another white vehicle entered the intersection and proceeded to strike the side of the voyager with the Taurus.
The van was knocked to the side and the van’s driver was injured enough to be sent to the hospital in an ambulance. The driver of the Taurus was not injured and she was able to drive away from the scene of the crash. Neither driver was given citations from the police.
It is terribly unfortunate to be injured by another in a car crash, especially, when the injured person was not at fault. Due to the lack of information given by the police, the injured individual may or may not have a claim against the driver of the Taurus. If the police hold the driver of the Taurus responsible for the crash then the occupant voyager van has every right to seek reparations for the damage and injuries caused by the Taurus Driver. According to Utah law the injured occupants may have a right to make a claim against the driver of the Taurus or their insurance for their injuries, vehicle damage, the loss of loved ones and loss of enjoyment of life.
