Motorcyclist in St. George Airlifted to Hospital After Crash

According to the St. George News, a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Bluff Street through the Red Cliffs Parkway intersection when he was hit by a car making a left hand turn.  The crash left the motorcycle rider with “significant injuries to his left leg” and he was transported by Life Flight to DRMC.  The driver of the car that struck the motorcyclist was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.  According to Officer Harding, “drivers need to pay attention.”  St. George News reports that “police have responded to at least one scooter or motorcycle accident each week.”  www. Let’s all remember to slow down and look before proceeding through an intersection on a yellow light.  The extra few seconds saved by rushing through a yellow light are not worth the danger encountered.
